Well this looks like a promising list. Lots of magic, and a couple of vampires for good measure. Some good unit sizes, nice support units, it looks good.

The only thing I would ask is where are the characters going. I am guessing the mounted on with the Black Knights and the rest in the one skeleton unit. I would suggest spreading them over several units to give you better magical distribution, and removing the eggs in one basket technique.

Apart from that it looks good. Hope it works well for you

Yeah, I like the list overall. I'd squeeze out the points for another spirit host base however I could. Having three makes them a huge threat for the enemy, much more lasting power. Otherwise, you might find yourself wasting IoN just to heal the two models you have when you'd rather be raising skeletons.

Well, I played my first game with this list today against a cavalry heavy HE list. I lost the favor of the dice gods in the first turn, failing to cast both of my Danse Macabre's and leaving my knights to get double charged, and my dire wolves to get charged by silver helms. the spearmen that charged the knights pursued into my skele's spent one round of combat then broke only to be run down. My Zombie unit got charged by a unit of riders only to lose to combat resolution in the first round. Those riders pursued into the grave guard. Both of my bound spells the book and the staff failed to renew in the first turn, an dit just went down hill from there. i managed to wipe out both of his bolt throwers, two 20 blocks of spears, and hammered his big unit of knights with my vampire, but i lost to resolution after getting charged by his last block of spears, and both cavalry units

Wow, that sounds almost painful. I hate games like that. Sometimes you can play a brilliant game and have rotten dice.

Do you think you'll make any changes to the list? I don't guess I would. It'd better to see how the army does on a regular dice day.

The only change i'm considering is giving the VC a magic weapon, though 35 points doesn't givce me a lot of options. Also considering swapping the banner of barrows from the knights to the graveguard.
