I only start Warhammer fantasy recently and decide to try out VC as Lahmian seem seduce me well enough to start, here is the list:
Lvl 2 Necromancer (General), Book of Arkhan, Dispel Scroll - 150pts
Lahmian Thrall, Innocence lost, sword of Might with barbed nightmare - 137pts (Ride with Black Knight)
20 xSkeletons w/light armour, musician + standard - 215pts
7 Black Knight barbed and full command - 215
7x Dire wolves - 70pts
Black coach - 200pts
997 pts. plz comment
I plan to expend on this to 2k later, what are some good suggestion to add in future?

I would not take both Black Coach and Black Knights in a 1k game. In fact, I wouldn't take any of them, but thats just me. Your list is a bit low on models, I would drop BK and/or BC for zombies, ghouls, fell bats, and more wolves. Our units have crappy fighting skills, so its SO important that you outnumber your opponent to maximize the effect of our main strength: FEAR
I would also strongly recommend that you max out your hero choices. It is a must for a VC army imo. 2 necros (lvl 1 & lvl 2) and a thrall are usually my choices at 1k pts.
As for a 2k list, I would add more troops like I suggested above, and get a unit of spirit hosts. Maybe even a banshee. Grave guard is a nice addition as well. But first and foremost I would get more core troops.

Since you are doing lahmians, the black coach doesnt exactly fit right in with their back ground, so i would suggest dropping it for another solid unit of skeletons.
Also, try dropping the black knights (optional IMO) and taking another level 2 necro and some ghouls or dire wolves. And drop those wolves to 5 btw.
In 2000 points i would try using the list in the back of the book and maybe taking a dwarf thane swain? As they are quite hard in combat . If you dont want to take a dwarf, maybe take an aspiring champion of chaos?

i agree more or less with what has been said so far.
what i would suggest is to drop the black coach and get a unit of zombies or skeletons and another necromancer.
i think that a powerful unit is nessisary in a army with medicore fighting units like skeletons and zombies. even dire wolves arn't that great. so the black knight with vampire will be a kick up the backside to the opponent. the only problem is that the knights will be targeted by shooting and/or magic at every oppertunity, so use the wolves to screen them. you also need alot of magic in vc armies and one necromancer dosn't cut it. and besides, the amount of chaos 1 necromancer can cause...is so much better if there is two. also, you need more then one infantry block. this isn't just a nessesity in vc armies but it is especialy crucial because of the lack of combat ability. and if he has more units then you. you most certainly will be defeated.
