Well after chatting with loads of people on LO chat about this, ive also decided to post this on here =]
I'm going to an Entire VC army as dwarfs. The basic concept is Using the old Dwarf models i will create a entirely unique army.im doing this because i absolutely detest most of the VC models and it just seems like an entirely cool concept.
So the question is, im struggling for ideas for my Grave Guard.
My first thought was. IRONBREAKERS.... but alas ..... they all wear armour helmets...
and what about Ghouls also.... I'm at a loss.
Any ideas =]
thank you guys
My homage to my time spent at Libararium Online:
once i played someone, and he used 3 dwarf slayers and painted them white and whatnot and put them in a graveyard sytle large base and made them spirit hosts, and i thought that was cool
So snip their heads off!!My first thought was. IRONBREAKERS.... but alas ..... they all wear armour helmets...
They are an "undead" army anyways, so being headless could hardly be seen as a disadvantage.
On a more serious note, stick skeletal heads on top or something like that.Regardshe used 3 dwarf slayers and painted them white and whatnot and put them in a graveyard sytle large base and made them spirit hosts
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares, your a mile away and you have his shoes!!
Chuck Norris invented water
Snip the heads off, put skulls on them and then make beards and chainmail coifs out of green stuff. Piece of cake. I saw an army that was done very similarly, somewhere else online.
Slayers might not make bad ghouls, if painted right.
I'm doing the same thing with Empire and Elves and Ghouls are giving me the same problem.
When using armoed troops for a VC army make sure to use lots of black ink. It will darken the models and give them a dead/old/dirty look.
I'm using Cold One Knigts as one of my Black Knight units. I painted the model with Dwarf Bronze, then washed it with black ink then highlighted with dwarf bronze again and they look really good.
you wanted undead dwarfs? thy wish is my command!

Nice, i was gonna take my whole 2k point dark elf army and hack em up and give em skele/zombie parts. My dark riders where going to be my Black Knights but i like the Cold One Knights Idea. I might even use that some time....
Goose swarm? That guy's army would always get high points from me at tournaments.
