Wow. I actually saw the painter on another forum - TWF, but only one picture. This though... wow. The effects used and such. Damn him!!
The zombie and skeleton units are awesome with the light coming from the torches on the models, it truly is an army of the night.
BEN DIESEL FTW!!!
I love how these guys are painted. It gives the impression that it's night and all those glowing and lighting effects really show off the painters skill. I'ts impressive he can do that to an entire army.

P.S, i get the feeling im going to get beat for this reply lol. Not saying i dont like it! Just the price is a bit steep imho.

No worries, Deceiver, I agree with you, completely. Looks like we're both going to get beat down.
Deceiver and Psyan - Why would you get beat down? You expressed an opinion, nothing wrong with that. Though I feel I must comment on the "it's all white" remark, by using this from the painter:There is more to it than meets the eye. But what gets me is the very characterful look of a vampire counts army, it is just so suitable for them and makes the army look that little bit more creepy. I like it, the lighting effects add that extra edge to it in my mind.Construct everything, including ruins/ trees etc
Black spray undercoat
Blue spray undercoat (not as heavy)
Basecoat of tin bitz for metal parts
Base coat of Hawk Turquoise for ethereal parts
Add flock/ static grass/ vines
Mist with white spray (the tricky bit)
Glaze with black ink plus gloss medium + blue/ brown ink where needed
Paint funky glowy green weapons, do light effects
Rehighlight where required
It looks alright on the table. But with the black background it just looks awesome! Very characterful, but more a showpiece than an army for the gaming table IMHO.
I'm not suggesting that a lot of effort didn't go into it, but as some of the other posters have suggested, it does feel very white to me. I love the modelling though, more so than the painting for me...
