I always loved spirit hosts and now that they are not a 0-1 choice, I can take up to four units, which would be nuts to do. More reasonably I could take two, but that would still cost almost 400 pts.
Is that a bad idea?
Now that Eteheral units can only be healed one wound per casting of IoN, it's harder to keep them alive.
Hsould I have a unit of 4 and aunit of 3?
Old book I used Spirit Hosts to hold units up, they were like the VC's answer to Flagg's. The one wound thing is kinda "Eh..." but makes some since, a swarm of any kind given all it's wounds back is kinda ridiculous. You probably knew this of course, just trying to get back in VC so remembering stuff is great help lol.
I say the 4/3 ratio is good, and as long as no magic weapon wielding, happy go lucky hero comes out to play you are all good my friend
You could take the 1 or 2 units of Spirit Host and work on casting off Wind of Undeath alot, and even though you can't restore heaps of wounds with one spell, ION is heaps easier to cast now.
