Welcome to Librarium Online!
How do you feel about raising more zombies (or maybe skeletons?) than you've got models? I've never played with or against Vampire Counts yet, so I don't know what I would do.
Would you simply stop summoning until your opponent killed enough models for you to be able to summon new ones again? Would you ask your opponent if you could use the casualties on his side as zombie models? (that would actually be pretty cool, raising up the slain enemy to serve your dark biddings 8X they'd have to be on 20x20 bases though) would you be allowed to proxy models from some other army you have got lying around for ages but never play with?
A Tau Ethereal was thought to have been killed today by a Bloodthirster. However, many Tau were seen fleeing the scene and are considered suspects.
Hey Ive used a LandRaider to represtent 30 Zombies i the past lol
The Inquisition - 38-2-3
Tomb Kings - 1-1-1
Grey Company Elves - 16-1-3
Saurons Force of the Black - 8-1-3
It's better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven
Well i start with 16 ghouls, 16 skeletons, 20 zombies and 5 dogss on the field. I have 4 extra ghouls, 14 extra skeletons, 5 extra dogs and 15 extra zombies (many conversions) I have about 10 gravestones, most with half a skeleton or zombie coming out which i use for either units. This works pretty well for me and hasn't been that bad cost wise. After a few games you can work out a realistic number of models that you'll be raising, buy those. Until then i suggest simply using odd models that are about, i wouldn't got as far as a landraider, but that is pretty funny.
One of the coolest (and laziest) bits of Fantasy is the use of ranked units.....
Because you only ever (visually) focus on the front rank and models on the edges... So if you intend to do an undead horde just use any old rubbish painted miniatures off ebay - orks (already green) Brettonian peasants (one step from zombiedom anyway), empire (hurl some brown/dark green on) etc.
As long as the outside of the unit is zombies the actual contents are never questioned....
Yeah well they could be particulary fresh zombies, all they need is some wounds, blood etc.
I was thinking about having a zombie or skelly arm sticking up from the base to represent the risen models. Have them look like they were coming up out of the ground sort of thing.
Where the heck did all them guardsmen come from?
Great Wolf! Is that the howl of the 13th?
Personally I'm of the opinion that if you're planning on raising you should bring enough models, though I do use the old standard of using the decorative gravestones to represent raised models.
If your opponent lets you proxy then by all means do it, but be prepared for someone saying you can't.
2000AD's answer to all "How do VC deal with ..." questions: Forbidden Lore + 2 Power Stones.
Further answers will require more vodka.
I have decided to proxy them at first, just use empty bases if i don't have the model, i'm sure that after a while i will know how many more models i need.
Currently there is no way I could afford all the zombies I need, so I tend to borrow from my empire force to fill the middle ranks.
I'm Solid Snake...also, I'm a Primarch.
