He butchered me down to the last zombie! I only killed 2 wild riders.
How the hell could I have won?
A Tau Ethereal was thought to have been killed today by a Bloodthirster. However, many Tau were seen fleeing the scene and are considered suspects.
I would say that is an extremely tough fight to win. His mobility essentially lets him pick any fight he wants, and you've got nothing to catch him. With a good general, my money would be on the WE every time.
Your only chance would be to keep a very tight formation, where the blocks support each other, and then hope that when he charges something he will get bogged down long enough for you to engineer some favourable combats. Even then it is tough, as his troops will probably still butcher yours.
In short, you need some mobility and some killing power.
Too slow, if you're too slow they get you, a varghulf would have been useful here, horrible mean wood elves, you have to use strict terrian rules/deployment with them just to make sure theres not too many woods. I do anyway....
You had one model that could hold up in combat on a regular basis- your vamp. The dryads could probably kill nearly an entire rank of anything else alone without much trouble, and you had no real way of hurting them other than your lord. And the wild riders would crush pretty much anything, as would the war dancers. I don't think you stood a chance with your list no matter what.

You probably need to commit to having more magic. Mannfred the Acolyte would be a pretty decent investment, even though he's expensive for such a small game. Maybe a unit of fel bats to tie up his skirmishers, and then use IoN to keep re raising them and wearing down his guys.
