Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi, I looked carefully through your vampire count codex (I'm strongly considering making them my first warhammer fantasy army) and I had a question: Their are many different vampire models (eg necrarchs, strigoi, etc) however it looked like in the codex strigoi, for example, are not mentioned and this would lead me to assume that the different models are more for fluff and that they don't represent different vampires with different stats, powers, etc. In fact, skimming through the history the strigoi were not even mentioned in the stories. Are the models then older then i thought, representing things from the previous codex? Do the model differences eg strigoi vampires limit your options for adjusting a Vampire or VL's powers or is this simply fluff? Thanks for the answer, I'm new to warhammer fantasy.
The Vampire Counts are WFB's most recent update. 2 months ago, there were different bloodlines which each had different abilities. Now you make your own bloodlines, and the different models are just for looks.
Should I purchase the vampire models I like first? I think some look real great, but with the new codex will they be phasing out these bloodline specific vampires to replace them with different models? any news?
And will there be a model released for Isabella von carstein soon, or do I have this in reverse (she has been removed?) I remember her being in the new codex though.
Thanks, I just discovered librarium online and I didn't know anyone who played the VC. I'm glad I didn't buy the old book the time before last, I could have sworn I had seen things on different vampire families and types, then they weren't there on my second look!

Is it me or does any other necron player get annoyed when they see people saying "Necrons eat souls". How is that even possible as souls are part of the warp and necrons want nothing to do with it? Eh probaly me just me being picky.

I know you've sort of had your question answered, but here's my $0.02
Specific bloodlines were phased out with the release of the new Army Book, so that people can now mix and match to combine facets of different bloodlines.
As far as I know, the old Vampire Counts models are still available, at least according to GW Online stores. You may have to look in the 'Classics and Collectible' section within the Vampire Counts part of the shop, but I think they're still there. They have been reorganising the format of their online stores so not everything is where it should be at the moment.
Hope that helps to some degree!
