I'm a 40k player looking at getting into WHFB and I have a question about undead
If the undead are immune to psychology and instead of breaking in combat take
wounds in the number of points they lose combat by, what is the purpose of the
Any info you can give me on this subject would be greatly appreciated
the leadership value determines how many wounds the unit suffers when they fail the test, so a unit with higher leadership is less likely to fail by a large margin compaired to a unit with a lower value
for example if you have two units one with 2 and one with 5 (just random values) and they both rolled a 6 on the test the first unit would suffer 4 wounds and the 2nd unit would suffer just one
hope this helps
by the way WHFB rocks as an ex 40k player who swapped over about half a year ago i can say its alot more fun than 40k

You may have confused that rule with how daemons lose wounds in combat.
Mostly the leadership test is for crumbling after the general dies. Also there is a magic item that causes stupidity, so you need to make a leadership test there. Third, a leadership check is required to hold your units back and not pursue a fleeing enemy.

It would also come into play with some random things like the Wood Elve's spirits sword where you roll 2d6 and compare leadership values, but yeah, the main thing is for taking crumble wounds.
Don't forget an opposing VC player might have a banshie scream at you.
Ahh I see, I misinterpreted what you said. "The test" isn't very specific, and since the opening post was talking about break tests, I figured that was what "the test" was referring to.
They have LD value because of weapons like the tomb kings carcet of souls.
The demonic scum of chaos fear us!The fear the holy fire of our stormbolters! They fear the sweet kiss of our blades! But most of all they fear ourdevotion to the Emperor!
