I got into a discussion with my friends at are local gaming shop about the older special characters that GW made and we were wondering, is it still possible for a player to use say Krell, Neferata, or Melkhoir in games now even though the rules for VP have changed?
Normally characters made for one edition become obsolete in the next until GW decide to rewrite the rules again. The current VC are very different to the old ones so there could be balance issues. Of course in friendly games if your opponent agreed it would be fine. And you could still use the models to represent normal vampires, or even with all the bloodline powers try to make a new legal version of the character yourself.
