was wondering if there are any official rules for Gashnag the Strigoi lord of a border kingdom, I rather liked his tale in the VC army book and while we are talking does anyone have rules for neferata, the red duke, or the black prince?
anyway I was going to mod a strigoi model to be dressed like a noble , and use him as gashnag-- just wondering your thoughts on what gashnags stats and p;owers should be as a vampire lord.
ghoulkin and supernatural horror would be a must.
Aura of dark majesty works with the fluff, as would summon ghouls and creatures of the night.

You might be able to find a stat line for him on the website, but with the new vampire counts army book the idea was you can create any kind of vampire you want with the powers and magic items.
I think Cut Your Ribbon has already given some great ideas as for what vampiric powers to give him. Items like the helm of commandment would work nicely too I think.
I'm not sure about Gashnag, but as Vallessian has said I'm pretty sure that the GW UK website used to have downloadable pdfs for Neferata, as well as Krell, Vlad and Isabella Von Carstein and I'm sure there were one or two more but I can't remember them.
But I don't remember ever seeing one for Gashnag, unfortunately.
yeah I could give three xxxxx about vlad and his crew( just because its too sterotypical) neferata im probably going to use that tomb king xxxxx because thats how the mother of vampires should look( not a beehive wearing xx)
but im starting to lean on building a "black prince" themed full army-- to expand on the question
the core units obviously would be direwolves and ghouls-- what kind of army list would suit the oldest lord of the border kingdoms?
Im open to any suggestions in any respect-- but likely the lord will be gashnag and his retinue ( some notable fluff characters ive come up with are grandfather a varghulf who is gashnags predecessor-- a bestial lord who was gashnags spawn by one of his unfortunate wives( the winged lord obviously would have flight and be combat vamp) --and the rest likely would be other strigoi models unmodded, leading units of ghouls-- perhaps a necro somewhere, but I have already painted my varghulf, bestial lord and a unit of blood knights( blood knights arent necessary to my gashnag theme tho)
thanks for your help vc players in advance

Concilliateor, perhaps toning down the language would be appropriate?
As for Neferate - the model for Neferata does exist, and doesn't have a beehive, but long hair, and is a really well-sculpted one (with reasonably good proportions unlike the other Lahmian vampires), and actually doesn't look too dissimilar to Khalida (who was actually killed by Neferata).
My wife uses the Vampire from the Spearhead box as Isabella, anyway.
As for teh drak retinue of Gashnag, I would suggest that the Wolves are a must, and given he parodies hinmself as a Border PRince, he will retain some elite infantry (Grave Guard) and cavalry (Black Knights, perhaps even KBK). You have correctly indicated that there are likely to be ghouls aplenty - perhaps these are even the villagers from the region he governs, devolved to predatory cannibals?
I would suggest that Gashnag would not likely keep other Vampires near to him besides his own thralls. I doubt that a Vampire may procreate the "normal" way - otherwise Manfred would no doubt have done so. But he may have sired vampire thralls from the various ladies he has captured with the intent of marrying, and the rest could be turned into Banshees or female grave guard?
yeah all the other vampires will be thralls or in some way servant to gashnag obviously, the child thing was just one way to explain the difference in appearance between the models
seems like GG is a must in any army, and the black knights should round out retiniue ( want to use my rare on varghulf maybe 2)
yeah I forgot about the direwolves, they are sp;ecifically mentioned in his story so a split core of ghouls and dire wolves with gg black knights and varghulf-- and perhaps a black coach
No probs, same with me, just not on public forums :-)
That would be perfect - any self-styled regent/prince will need to have a decent set of wheels!!
The Vaults are pretty high mountains, and as such, yes teh Border Rpinces may be a tad cold, but certainly not an Ice realm like Kislev. I would think maybe deep purples and reds, both colours associated with royalty and empire, and perhaps contrasted by white sashes and details on troops. A white "Black Coach" woudl certainly be eye-catching abnd very ironic! The reds and purples cannot be vibrant though, more deep red like red gore, and liche purple with a tinge of unhealty "green"...
