are empire armies tough for the VC? I mean the steam tank seems almost unstoppable by our army -- but I havent played a battle yet ; so what war machine should the VC fear, what should we laugh at and what should we do to counter them?
Heh no, If anything the steam tank is easier on the undead because it kills zombies just as easy as anything else expect that unit of zombies won't disappear.
Empire Troops will succumb to Fear and Terror
War Machines can be taken out with Fell Bats, Wraiths or Vargulfs
Daemons are probably the hardest army for VC to take on right now... or at least it is for me.
Im not saying an empire opponent can't win I just find them not as hard as daemons who seem made to destroy the VC with their Immunity to Fear, Magic Attacks and 5+ Ward Saves.

I would 100% disagree with you on all fronts of your responce. Daemons are by no means the hardest army for vc right now AT ALL (Your reason really cant be immune to fear, every play another army that caused fear? lol Magic attacks? Come on now). An empire Gunline can actually be one of the hardest armies for a vc army to overcome. Ghoulkin is always a good idea for those situations. Once you can the actual gunline you are good.

a war alter tooled out the right way can wreak havoc on a VC list more than any war machine. Steam tanks and cannons aren't really your worry. A well placed Helstrom Rocket battery will decimate an entire unit. I've seen them cause 15-20 casualties. You start losing all your ghouls and you can't bring them back. Empire magic can also be fairly potent if done right. The waralter can throw 3 bound spells a turn, all of which need 1-2 dispel dice to effectively nullify. There are also several other bound spells that can be placed in the army, a casket of "I steal your spell and you can't use it anymore" which will destroy certain armies if the right/wrong spell is selected and just regular damage magic.
