I'm not sure if someone has posted this before, but if they have sorry!
I was playing a Daemon player the other day and they got that accursed banner that makes all rolls in a Lore of their choosing -2 (I think, it might have been -3).
Looking through the VC rulebook I think you could make a pretty good case that IoN is not in the Lore of Vampires. It's a Necromancy spell that every vampire gets. However there are sections of the book that seem to suggest that is in the LoV.
Does anyone know of an official ruling on this? and what are you thoughts?
IoN is a "free" spell and not in any Lore. Just like the Drain magic spell for High Elves etc etc. The "lore" spells are those spells you roll for, not the spells you get for free. I think this is in the daemons FAQ, but my computer doesn't like teh GW website very much!

I'd love to look at the FAQ on the gw website but it appears the Daemon FAQ has gone (or im beeing blinded by the dark powers).
IoN is an additional spell, seperate to the Lore of Vampires. This is why, with forbidden lore, that you can use any of the other lores and still have access to to IoN
