    Hunter In The Dark

What is the general consensus on this power?

    Vampire - 200
Hunter in the Dark, Supernatural Terror, Sword of Might, Flayed Hauberk, Talisman of Lynci

He pops up somewhere in your opponent's deployment zone, moves fast hunting down wizards, war machine crews and anything else soft and warm-blooded and sends your opponents army fleeing in terror.

And the moment he meets a fully ranked unit that either doesn't flee or doesn't fear him, you expensive vampire is "toast"... I don't hold with scouting things in the opponent's deployment zone. Sure the redirction of a heavy cavalry unit or monster is worth it, but it is very dependent on circumstances. Like getting first turn, deploying him somewhere he can't be seen (and ergo cannot see things himself etc etc.

Might be useful against low leadership armies, but then again, standard undead are useful against these armies anyway. Besides, the moment he jumps out at a night goblin unit, he gets walloped by a cannon-ball wielding nutter....

Drop the supernatural terror and put walking death in. Then give him the BSB, he can take ranked up units on now, as he has static combat res of 2 and the BSB means he loses one less wound to combat res. Could be very useful against some armies and in certain situations but rubbish against others I suspect.
Arms are an instrument of evil, No measure for thoughtful men until there fail all other choice but sad acceptance of it.

I'd just drop the sword of might to make him cheaper, S5 is usually enough to kill any wizard or cannon crew, if anything take sword of battle
    Most Notable Achievements:
Killed a Revenant Titan in one shot.
Killed 900 pts worth of Blood Angels in 2 turns while only loosing 4 pts.
