I've got some questions :

- Does anyone know if the necrarch power of dark acolite :w can be given to a thrall?
Or does a vampire need a magic-level for this, the rules don't mention anything about it.

- Second question is the same as above but about forbidden lore.

to 1: yes a thrall can take that and generate a extra dice as it says his presence so as long as he is alive he generates it
For forbidden lore he could take it but would be pointless, as he can use no dice and doesn't generate any (unless with dark acolt (probably sp))

Wow , this makes the necrarch the best vampires in my opinion.

My new heroes choice (2000 pnt):
Vampire count lvl2, noble blood
Thrall, acolite
Thrall, acolite
Necromancer Lvl 2

Lost of magic (9 Power dice, 4 dispell dice) and enough hitting power.

actually thats 5 dispel dice sinece a level 3 gets u 2, 2 basic and one from the necro. Add in power familar on the count and dipel scroll + book of arkhan and give one of the thralls the amazing black periapt(cos necrach thralls can take arcane items), thats nice magic power, throw in the odd weapon on the thralls and attack!

You're right, but I thought necrarch vampires couldn't take any weapons or armour (it says "mundane" in the armybook, but english is not my first language).

I'm also afraid that two magic wielders is not enough (enough dice of course but not enough models that can actualy cast a spell).

Yeah you may find (like Tzeench armies) you may be left with more dice than you needed. However I am afraid this army will get creamed in combat. From my experiences magic is too ficle a force to be relied upon efficiently.
