Alright this is something that's come to worry me, but should I put a ward-save on my General in 1k games against gunline dwarfs? I know my opponent plans to snipe out my general and force me to crumble. Would the "Look out Sir" rule be enough, or should I grab the wristbands of black gold?
Also would 15/squad for skeletons be enough in 1k?
Do you have anything to lock the gunline into combat early or can you destroy his gunline at all. If yes, then I wouldn't worry about it in a 1k pts game. If not then I would go for Wristbands.
Well for starters no dwarf gun has the "snipe" ability only empire do i belive and WE. But if you mean just cannons etc in general then id say look out sir shoulf be enuf in saying that tho if u fail it will hurt
I do not think a ward is needed, flayed hauberk is enough protection if you use him carefully. At this level the general should be a support character and stay out of sight of enemy guns and combat if you can help it since he is going to vulnerable unless you spend lots on protecting him. It's easier to use him in a wimpy way because he is so vital to the army and can still perform well in the support role.
I find a vampire with flayed hauberk, talisman of lynchi, dark acolyte and a master power is a good general at this level as he is good at casting, has some protection if needed and is quick enough to get out of tricky situations.
BEN DIESEL FTW!!!
