As the title implies I'm wondering about Jerek Kruger , former grand master of the white wolfs (ew) then loyal (as loyal as us bloodsuckers can be) henchmen of Vlad and Konrad von Carstein , id really like to field him in my vampire army alongside Vlad and Konrad , but im wondering what powers and items to give him , and also which model is a good base for a conversion - model wise i was thinking possibly Valten , Exalted of Sigmar as a great model base , appearance wise (obviously adding pelts etc and changing his mount) plus he is also wielding a warhammer , power wise i was thinking something along the lines of...
Avatar of Death (great weapon ie: Warhammer)
Talisman of Protection
The Gem of Blood
I realise the magic items aren't particularly fluffy but they are more acceptable in terms of theme than most of the other VC magic items.
I'd really appreciate peoples ideas on this,
Sounds good, not 100% sure what that models looks like, memory failing. You can convert any model into a vampire. Simply get rid of all the icons/symbols on the model and replace its head with a vampire looking one, thats what I do anyway. You might want to swap the hammer for a large sword, hammers are abit empire/holy.
I would consider replacing Avatar of Death with Dread Knight. Reasons? Jerek was a grand master of the White Wolves - one of the knightly orders - and as such has spent most of his fighting life on horseback. The lance isn't really that much of an issue as Cavalry hammers (I suppose they still do) give +1 strength in the first turn, surely the GM would be even better. Hence you have a fluff reason to keep the lance, and model wise it would look like a hammer - bonus! I would also consider keeping a bit of the Wolf insignia on the model, on the armour specifically, maybe deface it a little or just 'dirty' it up
Dovie'andi se tovya sagain (It's time to roll the dice)- Mattrim Cauthon
I haven't read any of the books, so I don't know exactly what specific gear he has, but I'd reccommend a different magic item outlet. This is just my opinion, but I really don't see any reason to have a talsiman of protection unless there are extra point to spend. If you go with dreadknight, you'll have a pretty decent save for a hero-level character. Mybe give him the blood drinker and put him in a unit of blood knights?
I am heading off to the Peace Corps. It is bery likely I will not be back. Good luck to all of you endeavors.
Having the ability to cause terror would be cool.....and resonably fluffy. imagine being an empireman knowing this guys ability and now seeing him batting for the other team lol
I have read the books twice in fact. I suggest, like Exarch Thomo said giving him Dread Knight and keep him with a warhammer to match the fluff, talisman of protection would be good as in the book he uses hedge magic to disguse himself so the talisman could reflect that, and maybe give him Supernatural Horror as Zaki implied, but Walking Death would make more sence as his 'sire' was vlad a v. powerful vampire. Or Infinate Hatred if you're not to bothered about fluff. And imo you shouldn't improve his casting abilities as in the books he doesn't show much connection to 'the winds of magic'.
wow hope this helps
