I have been looking through some army lists and some have fell bats. They say it is in order to take out the war machines.
I understand that they are flying and can get places very quickly but wouldn't the war machines tear them to shreds before they got there?
I'd say fell bats are absolutely worth taking. They hunt war machines and lone characters, are classified as infantry so can actually be ressurrected d6, not only one.
Can also work as march blockers.
The whole idea of a flying unit is to have a very fast unit able to execute a number of different missions and I think Fell Bats are one of the best flyers in the entire game.
5000p. High Elves
Yes, fly them behind the enemy troop blocks and get a few more turns of IoNCan also work as march blockers
You can also slows down the unit you want (aka somthing you're scared of...chaos knights comes to mind) so you can keep your flanks much safer.Just found that out recently however it could of been a mistake done by GW.are classified as infantry so can actually be ressurrected d6, not only one
Conclusion: great model to include if points are avilable and depends on who you're up against. But personally I just don't like the models so I'm not going to be including them anytime soon.
