Firstly I'm looking for a strong build Lord that can fit in alongside a Master Necromancer at 2000pts (so 167.5slaves VL + 82.5slaves for naked Master Necromancer.)
I'm finding it pretty hard to get a decent save in with Red Fury, Ogre Blade or Potion of Strength nastiness in so I feel a more support orientated General may be of more use. Aura of Dark Majesty, Fear Incarnate & Beguile in a bunker of Screaming Banner & Banner of Barrows Grave Guard. What are you thoughts on this and can someone help me finalize a build?
Also I was considering the synergies of the above build with the helm of discord, iif I am in a challenge does my opponent still count as being in combat with the GG, i.e suffer the effects of Screaming Banner. Just if I'm against a non Fear causing opponent, 1LD test for Fear at -1 on 3 dice (re-rolled if passed), LD test at -4 or re-roll all sucsessful To-Hits and another at -1 or he cant make attacks at all and my own attacks will hit hit back automatically. It may be overkill but it seems like a brutal way to deal with a HE Prince. Sure the Helm could render Beguile (or vica-versa) useless at one time or another, but its a very strong double layerd defence, and at 15pts Beguile is cheap anyway.
Thanks in advance guys,
PS loving the new book, love the new balance of fear based powers. Now we can have some really effective yet evocative builds.

I wouldnt bother with a fear related vampire. Just go for attacks.
I also wouldnt bother taking a Vampire Lord and Necromancer Master at 2000pts. Out of the 2 i would go for a Necromancer Master and hero level vamps. Anymore is just overkill. At 2000pts its normal to see just one lord. Dont be fooled thinking Necromancers are worse than other armies casters at being generals. A lvl 4 with a Mortis Engine within range is casting at +6! Vampire heroes are more than good enough to hold the line. Some people arent even taking vamps in thier armies at all but all necromancers and wights.
You need to decided on if your going for a Master Necromancer with vampire heroes, or Vampire Lord with at least 2 necormancers.
Lord and 2 lvl 2 Necromancers with a Mortis Engine does looks pretty cost effective, thanks.
