Would a fast moving BD army be possible? Maybe something like:
1x mounted Count
2x mounted Necromancers
3x 10 Black Knights (Count in one)
5x 10 Dire wolves
Fast moving, heavy hitting on the charge (and fear causing along with it), but very little staying power. Basically, what I'd imagine would happen to a group of questing Bretonnians-turned-Blood Dragons (so they'd be w/o infantry support).
I know they'd crumple against another fear causing army or something heavy like dwarves, but in general is this possible?
It is possible and even mentioned in the VC army book. I don't know how it would work, I don't think it would be great as in most cases you wouldn't outnumber your opponent.
Would you be raising skeletons and zombies on the enemy as you charged forward? That may work to distract them and hold them while you prepare flank charges, if you could get enough zombies...
The biggest problem I can think of is that you wont be able to make the most out of your wolves speed as they need to be in range of the general to march. Second biggest problem would be warmachines. As for outnumbering maybe make your wolves into two units of 25 or two units of 20 one unit of 10. Maybe take out a necromancer there replace it with a flying von carstien vampire to take out warmachines. Or take a necromancer put it on a winged nightmare if you can do that. Also is it possible to put a mounted necromancer with a unit of black knights? I think he would be too vulnerable running around by himself.
How would the Von Carstein fly? surley its only a strigoi thing.
And put the wolves in fewer bigger units, that many ubnits would be a bit of a waste, (mind you 10 is a pretty large amount of dogs)
It coukd work, but definatley raise zombies to distract/flank etc

I adopted a cute lil' viking fetus
from Fetusmart! Hooray fetus! </a>
He means run with the wolf form. ( I hope?)
How victory may be produced for them out of the enemy's
own tactics--that is what the multitude cannot comprehend.
"Quantity has a Quality of it's own"
Either wolf form or mounted on a winged nightmare or zombie dragon I assume.
Blood dragon would more suit the all cavalry list as mEGALOMANIAC so I would be going for a mounted character, rather than choosing Von Carstein.
