    Getting back in to VC

Whats the best way to run Skeletons or zombies? I am getting back into VC and I was wondering is it best to run them in horde formation or something smaller. For my 3k list I am think 2 x skelies of 40 each and 2 x 40 zombies. The object is to have necros to buff them up in numbers so they last longer. let me know what you think guys.

In general zombies should run 5 wide to limit attacks coming in their direction. They are tarpits and nothing more. 2 units of 40 sounds good, its what I usually take over 1 larger unit as it makes the most out of invo (supplying 4D6+2xcaster level total zombies). A unit of 20 is a great bunker though.

Skeletons can be a little more flexible. I prefer spears in this edition as I like getting lucky with the extra rank of attacks. If you are running 40 to start and don't have master of the dead on a necro I would run 5-6 wide to try and eliminate steadfast. I would only run horde if I had 50+ and some good magic to buff them.
    Most Notable Achievements:
Killed a Revenant Titan in one shot.
Killed 900 pts worth of Blood Angels in 2 turns while only loosing 4 pts.

Awesome thank you! You bring up a good point that is what I was trying to figure out.
