K, i wouldent take zombies, but for the sake of not boring my friend too death with even a smaller army, i would like to make it as big as possible. And, the next thing im getting is 8 Black knight, would that be a good addition? I nomally play High Elves and i got smashed last time so im hopping this will be an improvement from my last list. Any improvment and ideas would be greatly apppreciated.
tnks in advance
I just finished 8 black knights and used them for the first time Saturday in a local tournament, and I love them. I'll be fielding them often. They're hard hitting and have great movement. And they seem a great unit to add a character in. I kept a necromancer sheltered there so my friend would think twice about skitterleaping an assassin into him.
Hey can ur thrall have heavy armour AND flayed hauberk?
No it can not, they are both armour so cannot be combined.
Do you think it is worth taking the musicians? There is no rally tests to reroll so all they do is help you draw the combat, not really worth it IMO since you should either be flanking and win easily or be in a bad spot and lose easily.
Musicians can make the difference between a draw or a win (auto break) against many units.
I've never dared not taking them with me, because I could get a very nasty feeling if that auto break doesn't come through.
asquabbling they squandered and gambled
till dawn did freeze their drunken dice
I generally take the musician, but I guess they're most (potentially) effective when you've got a big unit and will therefore get the automatic run away through outnumbering.
Mordheim: Middenheimers & Night Goblins
Since opponents almost always take musicians with the same thought in mind, they will basically never allow you to win a combat that would draw. Spend the points on models and you have more chance to outnumber them and can take more casualties easily, also if your opponent has a musician in a draw you only lose the points of models (one) that would have been used on a musician in units...
Take them if you like, I find them useful for living armies. But with undead they don't seem worth it to me and I have never wished I've taken them.
