Welcome to Librarium Online!
My friend is getting blood dragon vampire counts and i know very little about them, except that they have rapistly powerful characters and very little else.
I am an Ogre Kingdom player and I was wondering if I could get any advice from you....
"...a swarm of mechanised locusts sweeping over the land, stripping it bare of resources, bringing death and destruction to anything that stands in its path. Emperor preserve us against the predations of these so-called Orkish cults of speed!" - Cardinal Nomura at the Conclave of Hessen
Well, your fear will offset, so that's not as much of a concern, except for maybe Gnoblars.
VCs rely a lot of magic and fear, and since the latter won't bother your army, that's one disadvantage.
I'd suggest going to the tactica forum and reading the VC tactica. Or look in the "Thinking of Starting VC" in this one.
Ya the fact that the VC cant use fear on your ogres gives you a big advantage, but you might want to consider that VC have veryyyy strong magic. Your ogres should be able to thump most of the units in hand to hand, and because without fear they really arnt good. Make sure you bring a butcher to dispel. Watch out for blood dragon characters, the are extremly good in close combat. Try to avoid. The VC arent very mobile, so you should be able to run circles around them. Use this to your advantage. Oh and dont bring knoblars. They'll run at the first site of the VC.
Hope this helps, i dont know much about Ogres
Nothing a Battle Cannon Couldnt fix
Also Blood dragons excel at killing characters, mainlyt due to them having killing blow as a bloodline power. However killing blow ONLY affect man-sized models so his characters won't have as much of an edge.
How victory may be produced for them out of the enemy's
own tactics--that is what the multitude cannot comprehend.
