I'm new to Vcs and was wondering how many extra skellies/zombies I need to get for raising?
If it helps I hav 2 units of 25 skellies + 1 of 20 zombies
you will prob want to get about half a doze at turn with the larger spell being used to flank a enemy in the flank (or rear)Originally Posted by Tau guy

Yes people i know that my spelling and punctuation is awful but I am product of British teaching pollicies so what can I do about it?
If you field the three units you've listed, then I'd say get another box of each. If you field only, say, 1 unit of skeletons and one of zombies, then you can use the skeletons you already have for raising.
If you run Sylvanian, you may want more.
I just realise that you need to buy a lot of Skelllies then.. pwew.
I will try to get that many though....
dont worry you could easily get 30 out of a box ment for 20. Have one with out a random body part then ahevt hat part used as if it is bing raised from the dead.
I've never gotten 30, but with skeletons, definitely more than 20. But I've noticed what seems to be a structural default with the skeleton sprues. There's one particular leg piece that, if I didn't clip in a certain order, would always break. I ended up with just eighteen out of this latest box...grrr. But I'm using the Cursed Company models for the first two ranks, so it's okay.
How many units of each (zombies and skeletons) do you people field in either a 1000 or 2000 pt army? That gives an idea of how many more to buy for summoning.
In 2k I might field 50-60 zombies in 3 units, depending on if I have the spare points to make them all full units or not. Raising, I would boost them all larger and make a few new smaller units as well as some skeletons (crossbows with Sylvanians).
I suppose I would need around 100 skeletons and zombies in total, my games are just with friends so they allow me to use zombies in the back ranks counting as skeletons and vice versa. In total I have 60 zombies and I think 100 skeletons, some aren't completed yet though.
Also, if you are just playing friendly games and raising a lot then a couple of d12's or d20's at the back of units that already hve 20+ models in them should be sufficient to represent the rest, makes it easier to move around and you don't need hundreds of models.
I've almost finished a second unit of skeletons. I made the first with spears, not knowing the rules well enough to have fashioned them with hw and shields. This newer unit corrects that mistake. Then I've got two units of zombies, 20 each. But I prefer to raise them. I usually go with one unit of zombies and one or two of skeletons.Originally Posted by strewart
Yep me too. That's about the standard here methinks. IMO, that's the 'Core' army. if you know what I mean.Originally Posted by DavidVC04
