Some units look great on paper, but never seem to cut the mustard on the tabletop. Is the Coach worth it(The coach is quite nice as it is the only way of getting terror into your army without using a character that I know of, and it hits quite hard.- but still is worth it?)? Does it make back it's 200pt. price tag regularly?
And i have a gap in my army that i can plug with either GG or spirit hosts: which one seems to perform better on the field? I already have a large unit of BK, so i'm thinking SH's.
Thanks in advance!
MEAT IS MURDER
If you have a large block of BKs, then definitely go with SH. They are one of our most reliable units. They screen, negate ranks when flanking, and ignore the attacks of the great majority of their foes.
If you have the points, then the coach can be worth it. Just keep it away from Str 7 hitters which can destroy it in one blow. Besides causing terror, it's a rank-negating flanker that can tear the enemy apart and gain wounds as it does. Most of the time I've used it, I've had success with it. Once a greater demon took it out. Another time, kroxigors got it. But usually it'll do its job really well.
What is the theme / goal of your army? What tactics are you using? Answer theses questions before you worry about point costs. Unit effiectiness varies to what you want to achieve. Cost comes last.
Chariots are extremelyt heavy hitters, and also act as strong support. They are one of the few items in your list that actaully kills to win. Play a few games and you will see why chariots are one of the strongest unit types in the game. I use two, and more often than anything else, even over my characters, chariots have been my mvps.
