(i think it goes here)
i've read abaout them in white dwarf.....it was love in first sight!arrrr!
but then i grew unsure........ how do i paint The supreme admiral Luthor Harkoon?(the only lord they have) he is schyzofren and mad.generally. i think il need a rapier...
But my worst problem is the:Queen Bess, a cannon that has range:72......
can you help find out how i convert/paint it?
The Hellcannon is the biggest gun in the game. You could try filing off/filling in with green stuff all of the weirdo Chaos crap so that it resembles a normal (though large) cannon.
Yeah the hell cannon is the most common item to convert the queen bess with..
I would suggest you try a couple of games with them proxying models first before spending money and time converting (the whole army needs to be pretty much converted, thats a lot of time). The list doesn't have a huge amount of choice, its magic is extremely poor, there is only one lord as you realise, and while some of the conversions might look cool I think I at least would get very sick of how the list ran.
does anyone know what edition WD they are in?
Try White Dwarf 305 & 306 (don't know if that's UK or US). I have the mags and could check, but they're buried beneath a pile of bitz. I found those numbers online, but not at GW. I checked GW's Lustria site and didn't find them. It seems a bit surprising that GW wouldn't post the rules online like they have all the other variant lists. :wacko:Originally Posted by The vampire Lestat
Yeah, its great to have a really shooty undead army. Only problem is that zombies have no BS, so while their guns rock, they wont hit as often as desired...on the other hand though...QUEEN BESS...oh my d@*&...I'd almost wanna do the zombie pirate list for that alone!
My 40K Armies:
- Thousand Sons
- Mordian Imperial Guard
- Dark Eldar
My Fantasy Armies:
- Lhamian Vampire Counts
Yeah, I like the army list, but on the other hand, I've seen zombies die by the dozens and that turns me off to the list. But you're right, Neferata, Queen Bess is unadulterated killing potential. I think it'd be a lot of fun to play, not to mention a real challenge to win with consistently.
I've read a BatRep of the Pirates. It seems a rather effective tactic is to make a flank attack with a big block of Zombies, use the mobility of Carrdonades to get good shots and thin out the enemy, finally making a combined charge with the Zombies and a Leviathan.
On the other flank, Harkon and another Leviathan would use the same kind of tactics.
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD
