    any idea what tactics i should use vs tomb kings

    I wish i knew, coz I'll be playing a game against them soon!

    The way I figure they're just as crappy in combat as me (hurrah) and I can have more than they can.

    My opponent is taking the Casket of Souls though..... *cringe*


    An interesting thing though - the greates VC magic item (Staff of Damnation) will not affect TK units, it only affects your own units!

    Oh and Dire wolves can easily outmanouver chariots, so can ghost swarms for that matter(12' march move+the Danse sometimes), while fell bats go after the horrible catapults.....

    Anyway, that's what I think.

    id suggest this. take a units of 5 wolves and use them to flank charge enemy regiments that are in combat with your own skellies/zombies. should be able to crush them quickly if you can win the combat resolution by alot. try to take out his lord as quickly as possible, should cause his army to crumble faster.

    Go for his Heiraphant, as he has to declare which he is he should be easy to take out. The Heiraphant works the same as your vamp (army crumbles when dead). If you take out his spell casters then he can't raise no more, force them into CC or to move. Making your job easier. But as it's been suggested take Dire Wolves and flank them, they lose rank bonus and you should hopefully have a good CR and more crumble to dust. Remember fear is useless here but still out numbering him is good, and you can raise lots more than he can.

    If you are taking a vampire, even just a thrall I would suggest a extra hand weapon. The extra attack means that in a prolonged combat he will strike first with more attacks, and hopefully reducing the amount that are returned. I hope this has helped. If you post your list I'll see if Ican help more.

    TK haven't got neither big armour saves (exept Bone Giant) nor high strength (it;s exept Bone Giant again) so you should include some Black Knights, but watch out for catapults if your opponent have any!

    Well shoot squash and blast are what I reckon is best. Shoot him with what ever you have, squash with large numbers of undead (with the spells and stuff) and then blast them to crowfood with magic and CC.
