Welcome to Librarium Online!
Has/does anyone use these, personally I think that the models looks great especially the Hounds, Dwarfs and Elfs. Are there any special rules for them or are they just like normal zombies ?
I'm planning on getting a few of them but not much more than about 10 since they are quite expensive but adding a few Dwarf Zombies to a core unit adds so much variety and would also annoy my Dwarf playing friend so much. Good fluff for the Zombie Hounds would be to place them beside any pitchfork weilding zombies and say that they were a farmer and his dog killed and brought back together.
So what is anyonelse opinions on these ?
Here is a picture of the Dwarf, Hound, Elf and two human Mordheim Zombies.
If you use them for fantasy they would just be normal zombies. I think the models look nice, but the plastic zombies are more cost effective and I'm cheap. They should add a nice touch though to some zombie units if used sparingly and are easily visible (front rank).
I can read now!
If you really want to add some character to your army, then use the Mordheim models. I bought the Cursed Company to be the front two ranks of my big skeleton block, and they turned out really cool. It really adds some aesthetic and fluff appeal to the army. I put different models for the different races up front depedning on whom I'm playing.
And you can do that too with the zombies.
The only thing to know is that the Mordheim models are slightly smaller. Very slight, but noticeable. Still, I think my cursed company looks fine. The champion just looks a bit scrawny.
I wouldn't buy them as rank and file, just because they are so much more expensive than normal ones.. They do look pretty good though.
I'd just get some spare bits and convert to make my undead units look more unique.. Thats fun and cheap.
I'd do both. Buy a rank or two or Mordheim models and fill in with regular zombies.
As well as these I was looking at the cursed company skeletons that $DavidVC04 mentioned and although expensive I think that they are a great way to add variety to an undead army especially if put in the front ranks. I think I am going to order -
3 Mordheim Zombie Dwarfs
2 Mordheim Zombie Hound
4 Cursed Company Skeleton Orcs
1 Cursed Company Skeleton Goblin
which comes to £26 although I'll probably get some more eventually. My main opponents are Dwarfs and Orcs and Goblins so this should please them : ) but they also make Lizardmen, Skaven, High Elf and Dwarf skellies. If anyone doesn't already know about these and wants to see pictures of the cursed company check the DoW page on gamesworkshops site or search cursed company in the store search.

I'll try to put up pics of the cursed company. They really do add a lot of visual appeal to the unit.
