Welcome to Librarium Online!
How can i going to the tournament with a very hitting army of VC in 2000pts
I have this...
16 Grave Guard
16 Black Knights
The tournment is very important and almost the tournament going with armies for hard hitting, like Chaos, Bretonia, Beasts, VC, and so on...or do you think that its best for me going with a heavy magic list?
With the models you have (assuming you won't be able to buy any for the moment) you could try this, but I am not very hot for a dragon:
Lords & Heroes
Blood Dragon Vampire Lord @ 741 pts
Zombie Dragon, Great Weapon, Wristband of Black Gold,
Staff Of Damnation, Red Fury
Necromancer @ 150 pts
Lv 2 Caster, Dispell Scroll, Book Of Arkham
20 Skeletons @ 215 pts
Light Armour, Shields
20 Zombies @ 135 pts
5 Ghouls @ 40 pts
5 Ghouls @ 40 pts
16 Grave Guard @ 251 pts
5 Black Knights @ 194 pts
Banner Of the Barrows
5 Black Knights @ 149 pts
4 Fell Bats @ 80 pts
total 1995 pts
you seem lacking in core models, watch out for britonians, barding doesnt affect thier movement and they'll out charge you, and with large blocks of infantry they'll most often win most combat on resolution.
Good use of the character slots, Wolf-Pack. The Staff buffs the Dragon's somewhat mediocre (for a 300pt monster) combat prowess, and the Book helps to actually get the Staff's spell through.
I'd probably switch the War Banner and the Banner of the Barrows. The latter is of more use in prolonged combat, thus infantry, while the War Banner still helps to break the opposition on the charge.
As for the original poster, you have way too few raisable models. Consider making some "rising from the ground" conversions of skellies and zombies - makes your army that much bigger.
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD
Unless you are using a scalpel army(and you obviously arent) i wouldnt say hard hitting sums up VC. If you want to try to compete with Bretts then you have to mass infantry to withstand the charges as after turn one those knightsb ecome S4 again. Indeed if you want to win in a tournament of hard hitters you will have to either mass raise or scalpel. I dont think a hard hitting bretts army would have many feild trebs so you might consider dropping the Fell bats for an extra nec or some more skellies. For the other armies you might be facing its a good idea to round out an army rather than design one for a specific opponent. In this i would say take an extra Nec and instead of beefing him i would reccomend adding to your BK if you are going with wolf packs suggestion.
P.S good luck

i wouldnt take that dragon to much of a point sink but use a regular count and put him in the infantry where he is needed and take at least 2 necs (w/ book of arkhan obviously)
Like I said, tis list is build assuming he doesn't have access to other models, I too don't like dragons in a general way.Originally Posted by LordBronzebeard
