hi, just a quick question:
im thinking of startingVC's soon and i was wondering if anyone uses only skeletons and no zombies
or would that be completely unacceptable?
lolI can tell you form experience that its totally possible its just preference really...it could DEEEEFINetly work with them... Ive nevr used them lol
I don't really use Zombies.Originally Posted by Robin
Stat-wise, the 2 units are practically equal (Skeletons have 1 better Leadership), but the Zombies have the Braindead rule which means no matter what, they always attack last. At least on a charge, your Skeletons can attack first.
The advantage of Zombies is this:
Zombies cost 6 per model to the Skeletons 8 per model. And they cannot get Champions, or any weapons upgrades, only a Musician and a Standard Bearer. Thus, a regiment of 20 Zombies would cost much less than a regiment of 20 Skeletons. So you can have more of them, and outnumber your enemy. And if you have Hellish Vigour, or the Staff of Damnation, which makes your units attack first, regardless of circumstances, then all of a sudden your Zombies might be a better deal than the Skeletons.
To answer the question tho, there would be no problem with using Skeletons and no Zombies. Like was said earlier, it's really a matter of your preference. I usually like to field Skeletons and summon Zombies.

I generally start with skeletons and raise zombies. Zombies are pathetic, really. They rarely kill anything. And they have zero armor. You can certainly have only skeletons, and will have a more winning army for it.
Indeed Zombies are the cheapest unit in the army and have the biggest size per unit in the whole game so you can raise and raise and raise and raise and raise and raise and raise..... since you get an extra +1, 2, or 3 on invocation depending on what casting lvl when summoning zombies you should really just reserve them for summoning. I mean if you spent your whole magic faze summoning zombies, healing characters, and despelling only you could get around 100 of them up by the end of the game. id like to see anything get through thatO-o

are you joking????? skellies with musician = VERY GOOD ....hmm lets say the yhave a musician and you tie for combat.... aaaaaaand you outnumber that means they auto flee !!! no musician= you losing or tieing
What you are we once were. What we are you will become!!!
It's all up to you.
They both have their unique features as mentioned above. Build your army as you want to. Going with Skeletons is far from cheesy, so no-one will mind if that's the direction you want to go.
