    Zombie Pirates

I started an army, lost badly in my first battle against elves.

Does anyone use this army? How have they done?

    Some pointers that may help:

Gunnery Mobs are meant for close combat as a Pistol-wielding unit led by a Captain carrying the Dead Man's Chest. Handgunners suck.

Carronades are everything Move&Fire cannons are just too good of an opportunity to be missed.

With no raising and Zombies with troops, you rely on having BIG blocks from the beginning and using flank charges to win combats.

Luthor, Animated Hulks and Rotting Leviathans can fight really well. The rest is mediocre or sucks a lot.

Sprinkle the exploding gasbags here and there to keep the enemy (especially humans and elves) on their toes. Keep them within 3-5" of your other units. This means they can't be shot, but are also far enough to not infure your own troops when they explode.
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
    Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
    Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD
