While some powers state:"Counts\Lord\Thralls will get (random bonus here)", some of them are not clearly explained.
Talking about Necrarchs, which models get the +1 for casting spells ? Is it just for Vampires, or do Necromancers get that bonus too ? Same thing goes for the AC malus, does it affect all Heroes or just Vampires ?
Vampire Counts, Lords, and Thralls.
The text in italics at the top of page 52 explains it all away, using the word Vampire specifically and repeatedly to indicate just who the powers apply to.
Wights, Necromancers, and Wraiths are generic heroes, unaffected by whichever Vampire bloodline controls them. There's no such thing as a Necrarch Necromancer, ruleswise.
If it doesn't state Count/Lord/Thrall only (+1 to casting rolls, for instance), it would apply to all three evenly.
I really hoped that at least a Great Necromancer (don't know the translation...the lvl3\4 great hero) could get the Necrarchs' bonus
An all-Necromancer army with a lord- and three hero-level Necromancers is the typical horde army because the Necromancer lord is just cheap on points, but lots of folks would rather have a Necrarch Count and three hero-level Necromancers just so that their general has some staying power. He is an expensive bastard, however.
A Necromancer Lord with the Cloak of Mist and Shadows, on the other hand, is a cheap but effective alternative to the pricey blood sucker.
Too bad ç_ç I love to field magic-heavy list against some opponents. I once happened to play against a Brets army with nearly no dispelling ability, and he got destroyed by 4 Orc Shamans >_>
The lack of the +1 casting won't stop me from picking up a full necromancers list once in a while, but it would have really helped >_>
