I was going to collect Dogs of War before the Vampire Counts but they were just too expensive with practically every model being metal and only available online. So I decided my army would have some dogs of war in it anyway. I have shortlisted my choices to a few units:
Ogres : Durable, Hard Hitting units. I might convert them to look like zombie ogres.
Cannons : Powerful artillery, perhaps some zombie/skeleton crew.
Braganza's Besiegers : Well armoured crossbowmen, don't really fit in though.
Marksmen of Miragliano : Accurate crossbowmen, again they don't fit in.
Any suggestions? I want to chose units based on how well they fit in with the background and more importantly how well you think they do to compensate for what is lacking in the vampire counts army.
Well i would go with the ogre's you can make them look more vampire(ie) (its a word in my language) as you can paint them like zombies.

Would LOVE to see zombie Ogres, I also think they fit best fluff-wise

i think it would be awesome to have a cannon crewed by skeltons. Maybe it wouldnt fit in warhammer fluffwise, but it would make sense to me...it'd be like the skeltons from pirates of the carribean...they shot cannons too
It's defintely the zombie ogres first. Perhaps I'll have some cannons crewed by skeletons in a 3000pt army. I really liked the idea that vindicare suggested about pirates of the carribean.
Now I just need to find some models to convert the zombie ogres from (should be fun), see if I need any additional components and work out a paint scheme.
Thanks for all your help,
