i've seen many army list/strategy posts, and while it seems that zombies are excellent core choices bc of their ridiculously low point cost, i notice that hardly anyone uses em? are skeletons that much better?
Yes, skeletons are better. They come with hand weapons and shield and get a decent save if you give em light armor.
But you COULD put zombies infront of skeletonunits to deny shooting against your skeletons. While your skeletons are being protected, you raise and raise and raise
i use zombies to raise as u get extra buy i also have a unit that sarts and that holds up one of my opponents units utill help arrives.

I adopted a cute lil' viking fetus
from Fetusmart! Hooray fetus! </a>
zombies can be great depending on how u use tem. you can get 30 of them for 180 points, give them a standard and musician to be safe, let them get charged, the unit will most likely lose combat due to rank bonus and outnumbering. auto break, run down, raise a few more and repeat. skelies do this too and with a better save but they are more expensive and are raised in smaller increments
I allways have two large blocks of zombies.....they are my "meat" distraction....
I never pay for zombies...by the middle of the game I already have a block or 2 of zombies that I didnt need to waste the points on.
I don't think Zombies are bad at all. Throw them somewhere, and they can be a nice speed bump against anything. THe big use of them is to raise tons of them, and just swarm your enemy with them.
ZOmbies are bad in combat, but are cheap and hold things up. Easy to raise too.
Never drink more than 2 Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters unless you are a thirty-ton Mega Elephant with brocal pheomonia!
The perfect Tarpit unit!!!!!!!!!!
How victory may be produced for them out of the enemy's
own tactics--that is what the multitude cannot comprehend.
