Somewhere in this folder (I think), I recall reading a thread about using a DoW Ogre on a Rhinox in place of a DoW Giant in a VC army. I remember that they came up relatively close in points and effectiveness. I did a couple searches, but I wasn't able to find the thread. Is there anyone here who can either find it or recall what exactly was written in it? I'm looking to put a big, nasty monster in my BD army, but it seems like everyone has a Giant these days, so I'm looking for something roughly equivalent, but a little more interesting.
Thanks in advance!
Here's the link:
In all honesty VC is allready considered an overpowered army (and I agree). Bringing a giant or ogres (especially (bull) rhinox riders) will raise many eyebrows and sure you will win more in battle score but you will lose much more in comp and sports scores in a tourney.
Thanks for the link!
I'm just exploring the possibility of adding one of these nasties; nothing is decided yet, other than my disdain for giants and desire to have a terror causing monster in the ranks. How it will look on the table with the rest of my army (significant numbers of cavalry and occasionally a few mercs) is more important to me than anything else. I don't play WFB at tournies, so I'm not worried about comp scores or what other people think I should have in my army. I only play with friends in an uber-competitve, trash talking, but friendly environment.
