Hello everyone, I'm sure everyone here has heard of Vassal, the online engine that people on LO and other sites are using to play Warhammer 40k online over the internet. Well, I'm here to tell you that we've found one for Fantasy Battle as well!
Here's the link: http://lwhfb.lorenzonuvoletta.com/
Now, a word of warning. The site is run out of Italy I believe. To get it in English, click on the British Flag before you register/sign-in. You will need to register before you can use the site (its free). If you need any help feel free to PM me. I'll be on there from time to time, so if you need help understanding the site, I'll be happy to play a game with you if I have the time. Once you get the feel for how everything works though, its not that hard to run.
I hope everyone enjoy this. )
I found this a while ago, but at the time it was pretty shoddy. Looks like he's made some great improvements.
Any time anyone wants to play look to see if im in Chat.
I havent played Vassal before, but im am much more of a Fantasy fan, and this thing is cool. Thanks for showing me Spector. If anyone fancies a game just PM me or come on LOchat.
Well guys, I've seen about 6 of us over on the site, so I'm happy the feedback is fairly strong .
Would anyone else be interested in some sort of tournement run on this thing? 40K have one on vassal, no way we can be left out.
This is an excellent find. I was messing about in it tonight with a mate but tomorrow we're going to have a proper game.
I think we can definitely run some sort of tourney on this. I'll have a think about what we can do. For now I'm just happy to have something to play people when I'm away from my models, which is 99% of the time
I've been looking for something like this for years.
Still strugling alot with the controls though.
For example, i cant work out how to pick up entire units, only single "models".
Still i guess it requires alot of talking through to make it work.
hmmm, knackered now, but ill definitely give this some time soon.
Cheers for finding this.
I found this a while back and found the controls to be poorly designed. It seems you only place/move one troop at a time and the new armybooks are not updated in the game.
