I already have a large Skaven army, and its been complete at 2500 points for about a year and a half. I feel its time that I got a second army so I can have a new refreshing play style. I would like to be the polar opposite of my beloved skaven. Small, elite, incredibly fast or well armored, high LD, and honorable.
I can't decide between:
Dwarfs (always loved the models and fluff)
High Elves (New book is a bonus, fluff-wise they are the definition of small and elite)
Empire (Teutonic Knight or Estalia/Conquistadores themes, lots of knights, with swordsmen some hand gunners, but i still want it to be small, and wanna stay away from 'holy cannonball')
Someone sway me
Small, Elite, Fast, Armoured, Good Ld, Honourable. Pretty much the 7 words i would use to describe Bretonnians. But as you havent included them in your list, my vote is to go with the new HE.
Empire are certainly not the opposite of Skaven. They rely on big units to win and have incredibly average leadership.
It really comes down to what models you like. Dwarfs will entail a lot of shooting.
Personally of the 3 based on your criteria I would go with high elves. They are elite and fragile troops which means you need to conserve each one, which is the opposite of the Skaven strategy.
