Well, as I am just getting into Warhammer Fantasy Battle, though I'm still debating between Bretonnia and Empire (either way, it'll be knights heavy, gunpowder light/nonexistant so I am leaning more toward Bretonnia), and I have an idea.
There's a local game store that does customer run games/tournaments and things - and I figure, I'll put together a 500 pt. Border Patrol (basically straight out of the Battalion Box). I think it'll be a good way to get to know other local WHFB players, and a good way to get the hang of the rules.
Well, there are 2 main problems - first, I'm not too familiar with WHFB rules or different army lists, which means I'd make a pretty poor referee for the tournament (particularly if I plan on playing in it), secondly, I've never tried setting up a tournament before (of any kind), so, any advice?
I'll post a prospective border patrol list based on the battalion box in the Brets army list section soon.
Also, this probably won't happen until August, so I might have time to get familiar with the rules a bit. I'm no stranger to 40k, not that that really matters.
Edit - Actually, it'll be Border Patrol, so maybe a friendly mod could change the title for me?
