lvl2, Jewel of the Dusk, Ring of Corin
lvl2, Ring of Fury, Dispel Scroll
lvl2, Seer, Silver Wand, Pure of Heart Honour
Full Command, Warbanner
5 Silver Helms
5 Shadow Warriors
Its for a tournament =) . Any thoughts on the list?
Deployment would go like this:
cav, RBT, archers, chariot, spearmen, spearmen, chariot, archers, RBT, cav
with mages running about the spearman blocks and scouts doing their thing.
Comments are very very welcome =) . Thanks for reading!
I would hate to face that force.
Now that I think about it, I can't find any major faults in the list, the only thing I would suggest would be a higher leadership character, but that would remove the magic edge of the army. I'm wondering, does one of your mages have to have pure of heart now?
Only fault is the army being "vulnerable" to panic, though high leadership and pure of heart drastically reduces this. Enemy heroes will be your worst enemy when using this list.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel allright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace, and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
Goblin kroozade of revengyness: win:19 draw:10 loss:9
Thanks alot =D .
Im thinking that enemy heroes can be dealt with by the Ring of Corin, really.
And no, none of the mages have Pure of Heart. I always forget to write that honour in on my lists... I should start to, as its quite important, really =P . Lets say the Ring of Corin mage gets the Pure of Heart for this list.
What lores of magic are you planning on using? Since in my experience that can really effect how effective your army will be.
I tend to get my hands on a Truthsayer for High Elf tournament armies (light of battle is a very useful spell) however i'm not sure if you have that luxuary as some people ban Dogs of War.
“Someone I know calls a Sphinx a Sphincter I really don’t have the heart to correct them
“So you want to be made feel like a small boy and dominated do you? How about you dress up as Micky Mouse and I‘ll hit you with a baseball bat until you pass out or die?
I cant take Truthsayers, SC =| .
Well, it will depend on the opponent as always. VS infantry armies, Id choose High Magic, due to Curse of Arrow Attraction, Flames of the Phoenix, and Fury of Khaine. Other than that, I suspect id take Lore of Life for skirmish armies, Lore of Heavens for dwarves... Dont know about cav armies.
Hmmm, should work well vs Infantry armies. The only problem would be in that you don't have any Seers. I'd say, maybe take 1 seer, so you can get some perfect anti-Infantry spells.
Things you'd struggle with: You would struggle against an army like Skaven maybe, as they are fast, and also you may have to move a lot. Other than that, good list. Good luck!
Skaven shouldnt be a problem, really, with the shooting and magic of it all. With 20 arrows Id make 5 wounds (3-4 after saves) per turn just with them, and throw in 12 S4 RBT shots which will make 3-4 more rats dead each turn.
Lets say I roll Curse of Arrow Attraction as well, that will make 75% of my arrows hit instead of 50%, making my kill rate alot higher. That should force a panic test on one of his clanrat blocks, and with reduced Ld as well due to a rank or two gone.
Plus you get to cause panic tests during the magic phase, when FotP/FoK hits their furry masses.
I removed Channeler for all the mages, mixed and matched the items, so now I got Seer in there =P ! Yay!
That's good, because you can now select Curse of Arrow Attraction. Then, ye can dish out some nasty fire. ^_^
Aye. I assume I will go with High Magic for the Seer and choose Curse of Arrow Attraction, Fury of Khaine, and Flames of the Phoenix, then just have Lore of Fire on the other two mages.
Made a few additional changes... One Spearman unit got the Warbanner, while the Silverhelms went down from 6 to 5 models. The powerstone was replaced by a dispel scroll.
