Hey, today I heard from 2 people that Tomb Kings are actually the fastest, thanks to the magick and spells they have access to, not directly.
So, is this true????
"And whoever wants to be a creator in good and evil, must first be an annihilator and break values. Thus the highest evil belongs to the greatest goodness: but this is--being creative."
~ Friedrich Nietzsche ~
ya tomb kings are fastest army so i guess that makes it 3 people u heard it from
Tomb Kings Rock
Thats my fantasy army
Tomb Kings have a spell that allows you to give a unit an extra movement. When combined with Chariot squads being a CORE choice (sometimes), and both light and heavy cavalry also being core choices, you can make a speeeeedy force. TK Scorpions also have a rather high M, and Bone Giants aren't too slow either. A chariot/cavalry based army with 2-4 characters casting Urgency can be stuck in on the first or second turn!
The tomb-kings I played against used the spell to charge units he could not see before he started moving. First he turn to face outflanking units, then uses magic to get into close combat.
This makes them very flexible and almost impossible to outflank.
With proper use of the incantations, TK are extremely fast. They're still not very manouverable, though (no, they are not the same thing). I'd say that Bretts are probably the overall, most consistently fast army (TK are dependent on magic), and Beastmen are the most manouverable (lightning fast, 360 line of sight...mmmm...)
Bow down! Or I will unleash my zoinky army of surly crack babies! End this deception! I know you're hiding Martians in your head! Gimme them Martians! I am going to put butter on them! Martians! Grrr! Cease your barky noise making! Join my legions of darkness! My frowny face empire! I annoint thee! I do not copulate with Twinkies! Yaargh!
Consider the Lore or Shadows has better movement spells than Tomb Kings magic, and that Dark Elves (A very fast army) has an awesome ability to use the Lore of Shadows (You can make a modal immediatly make a flight move after he has made his normal move on a 3+. That leaves an assasin with a 30'' charge range to hunt warmachines etc. :o ) I have to say Dark Elves are faster than the Kings. Also, Tomb kings cant march (If I'm not mistaken) so the extra movement phase just makes up for that.
A Promise to a dead man means nothing.
