the rules rock . i personally love simple games this size.
i have been yearning for these rules for a long time.
I have no idea what this is and well you seem unwilling to explain, and as I doubt we have any mind readers in the house...
Please explain when posting threads, it makes it extremely difficult to even determine what you're jabbering on about.
All I know is that Black wind fire and steel is a Manowar song. Maybe he meant to say 'the rock rules'? ;/
He he, 'Cos Manowar kills!' Maybe the author in question ate Mexican before posting... it would certainly explain the black wind and fire part.
The iron crowned is getting closer,
Swings his hammer down on him,
Like a thunderstorm he's crushing,
Down the Noldor's proudest king.
Under my foot, so hopeless it seems.
You've troubled my day, now feel the pain.

Looking at his location, Australia, it seems that only the Australian/Asia-Pacific people are running this.
Black Wind Fire and Steel is a campaign in Lustria, I think. Basically it's a warbands kind of style, with games going up from 200 points to 500. With the tinier games you can elect to use a champion instead of a hero. You can also go below the max unit requirements (like 10+ models in a unit for example) but if you do then you forfeit the choices for command. I personally had fun with my unit of dwarves, with a Longbeard champion leading them, along with four crossbowmen. (Y)
Overall, great for nice, quick games.
