Please note before I start mods this is not a 'which army is the best/which army should I get' noobie topic for delete, I have a specific question in mind (I'm not repeating old posts).
Right, I'm thinking of putting together a force to crossover into WHFB. 2 of my friends have been playing for some time, while I played 40k. I'm thinking of joining them, and so have been looking into armies. The question I have is this, my friends both play undead armies, being VC and TK respectively. Obviously they are more experienced than me, so I'm seeking to 'level out' :shifty: the playing field by seeking an army good against fear causing foes (not looking forward to the autobreak from lost combat). I'm thinking about either a Chaos or Brettonian army (I like the knight models), which of these forces would be better against an undead foe? And also, if chaos, which mark would you recommend to take against VC? I like the look of a Khorne army, and browsing through the Khorne army list, it seems like their characters stand the best chance of killing the Vampire/Liche bloke in a one on one. However am I wrong?
Your advice is eagerly awaited.
I personnaly think you shouldn't look at anti-undead armies, cause that's not fun to play with.
Look at which army models you like.
And about your question.
I think Chaos slaanesh, cause they got immune to psychology.

While Slaanesh armies may get immunity to psychology, Chaos already has ridiculously high Ld. Because you are a new going against experienced players, I suggest going with a Khorne army. very strong and easy to learn. Just point them in the righ direction and they will charge! They will turn those undead guys into a pile of bone chips. Especially Khorne Knights.

An Ogre Kingdom's army would do well, as they are all fear causers as well (therefore immune to fear). Not to mention they are new, and nifty, although I don't think it is the easiest army to play, but there are definitely perks.
