I just wondering what happened to sigmar? I've heard a few reasons what happened they are:
He left to return his hammer to the dwarfs (This makes no sense, coz the Emperor (sp?) has Ghal Maraz )
He was saving a bunch of people (don't know who), from a bloodthirster and was dragged into the relms of chaos.
And the last is the Sigmar just rode off into the east (and then what? he becomes a God?)
Anyone else heard another version?
Thanks for your time
I think he died of old age, and became a god. Don't know for sure though.
Doesn't something in the rulebook point out that he just travelled back to the dwarfs, returned the hammer and then just sort of sat down in the hall of heroes?
Sort of as in valhalla or something?
Thats what I've read but, the Emperor Karl-Franz and all the others before him have had Sigmar's hammer. So how could he return it to the dwarfs?
Hmmm you say something there...
Maybe the hammer works as some sort of a relic that passes down to every successing emperor after Sigmar. The the thing could be that every following emperor would have to return the hammer when his time is over.
i reckon he rode of into the east and dies there (of old age and then becomes a god)
A Promise to a dead man means nothing.
I read that entry last night...
The entry says that he returned the hammer to it's forging, and then further made it avaliable to bring back to the ones that proved worthy.
For himself i rode off into the east to joint the gods in their halls...
ANyway I'll see if I'll post the entire entry later today, then you can judge for yourself...
Sigmar united the Empire and fought many battle. He saved the dwarf king from an Orcish warband and was given his famous hammer. He traveled back to the dwarfs at the end of his life, to return it to the dwarf king. This does not happen thogh, because the hammer is used to trap a greater demon. The hammer was taken from the demon-prison and given back to the Emperor that follows Karl-Franz. His name is Heinrich Todbringer. Heinrich Todbringer throws the hammer at the released demon and banish it together with Sigmars hammer.
Karl Franz never had the Gahl Maraz, but the "warhammer battle" just names the emperors weapon to be Sigmars hammer wich is not "historicaly correct". They do this with alot of ancient relics and it adds color to the game + gives players alot more variety.
Hmmm fulfilling story there...
Good job, where did you find this, I can't ssem to find it in any of my GW publications...
If this is true then how come Karl- Franz has a Magic hammer made by the dwarfs called GHAL MARAZ? This is off of the GW rules for Karl-Franz, this is Sigmars hammer as it has 4 Dwarf runes and 2 of these are Master runes . This breaks 2 of the rules for runic weapons (1 Master rune per weapon, max 3 runes per item).
