Not bad army, lots of power dice. But for the exalted champ, I would loose the power stone you already have enough dice.

I like the warriors, good tough units but I would say you might get surrounded quickly. But other than that I like.

A chaos army is never going to be big on numbers (unless you have an all marauder army which i find a bid boring)
I was thinking about a D prince instead of lord. In one game my D prince, spawn and 10 marauders fought, broke and chased down 30 ironbreakers but i think the lords items are effective
Power stone is there in case there is an occasion i MUST cast a spell.

Ok, yeah a Chaos army is never going to be big, but my point was that just make sure you can handle the fast armies ie make sure one flank is completely protected by terrain or the board edge.

A daemon Prince would be tough but you would then only get to field the warriors and knights as special. And that will limit you. But a daemon prince could work, although I think he will be quickly targeted. (As for the defeat of the dwarfs, you must have been lucky. But remember dwarfs always remember a grudge ).

Ok, the power stones could come in handy, but they can't give you irresistable force or miscast. So it's a no win no lose situation, but all together it's your choice I just personnally don't like them.

For 5 points D prince can have master of mortals. That lets him be the general of a mortal army.
Dwarfs can keep a grudge for a long time
Tzeentch can remember something for much longer as he is a God.
Fantasy armies are usually more cc orientated than shooting.
Most armies just use bows (S3) and they will be at long range.
D princes have wings to get in combat quickly

I mean DAEMON princes. I though the Mark of tzeentch would give away the fact fact its a chaos army not a high elf army.
the title helps a bit too, please use a bit of common sense before replying

Dwarfs can keep a grudge for a long time
Tzeentch can remember something for much longer as he is a God.
But a god isn't troubled by the petty grudges of mortals, Dwarfs will avenge all grudges (one day)

You could use master of mortal but then the DP must win combat otherwise he starts to loose his grip on this world. Also he only gets the ward save vs mundane items, so I wouldn't go hero hunting. D princes have wings to get in combat quickly, yes but this will also make them a large target and one that will get the most shots fire at it.

I don't agree, fantasy isn't more cc, I've know many armies that perfer to sit back and fire or could : Dwarfs, Wood Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves, Empire. These are all better with a missile army, or so some people find. I prefer to try and make an army that can weaken the enemy with missile fire then my infantry can take them apart in cc.

But I agree that SOME armies are more cc orientated eg Chaos, O&G, Skaven these need to get into cc it's where they excel. But then there's the armies that can be a magic force eg Lizardmen, High Elves and Tzeetch Chaos. So fantasy isn't all cc based, it depends on which army you choice. But many armies can fit equally well into all three of those cartagories.

    I play High Elves.

I just returned from a battle where I had 30 archers, 3 Repeater Bolt Throwers, a missile heavy Lord and a missile heavy Hero, with a level4 mage and a level1 mage.

I wasnt in HTH much, and when I was it was against small units which my shooting and magic would have crumbled anyways.

I also have used a cavalry HE army with devestating effect.

So no, FB isnt very CC oriented. Of course, some are more than others, as stated above somewhere, which is great for making interesting different armies.
