A change from your cav army, and it's alot harder to make a decent army isn't it?

Anyways, I'm sure you know you'll be whooped in the magic phase, why not see if you can find the pts for a lvl 1 scroll caddy (although I don't know where from ).

I'm guessing that the hero's going in the swordmasters, and a nice unit. Nice army, altogether. You seem to have all bases covered (shooting, combat) well nearly (magic?). Other than that I find no faults and the army should do well vs almost any army.

Are we implying that a cav army is in any way EASY to make, and that it is not decent?

The cav army utilizes the elves strenghts very well (movement, ws), while deminishing its weaknesses (t3, expensive) by having the units work together and break the enemy and run them down.

An army with infantry and cav is also ok, yet a cav army if faster, more agressive, and thus, getting more VP, which wins battles.

HE Cav isnt cheesy or chep, its a refined tactic of surgical strikes =) .

And yes, I will get whopped in the magic phase <=( .

I wasn't implying that all cav armies are chessy or beardy, I was just saying it's harder to get what you want into an 1000pt all infantry army than it is in a cav army. I know many cav armies are decent, what's not what I meant.

I know the strenghts and weaknesses of the cav and yet I know that cav is more aggressive, but that's not what I meant. If I confused you with my reply sorry, I didn't mean to.

Oh, BTW you meant Surgical right?

Looks good, how about you tset it and let us know how it performs. And I've got to say it's a far cry from what you normally play, no cav. Good luck with it.

The only downfall with swordmasters is their A. Weak, and B. Low Armour Save, so the can be destroyed easily in a number of turns, combined with magic. If you face someone such as Chaos Tzeench, your screwed man. But other than that great combo, i cant find any flaws except what I stated. For an interesting twist, stick you Hero with your Spearman, to distract fire from your swordmasters.

Well, i tried this list. It sucks egg, the way I played it at least. Then again, I do love my cav armies =D . So i guess im biased.

On a sidenote, how are the Swordmasters weak? Great WS and superb S isnt really "weak" in my book =D . But I assume you meant their low T. They are the focal point of most shooting in the army, since they hit like cav but die like spearmen...

This army sucks, get rid of the spearmen, take more swordmasters, and get rid of the bolt thrower, and add a great eagle.
