Well, here we go again. Another damned elf list from that sick lad.
Well. Yes =D .
2 Great Eagles
6 Silver Helms
Full Armour, SBearer, Champion, Banner of Ellyrion
5 Dragon Princes
SBearer, Champion, Banner of Sourcery
Seer, Jewel of the Dusk
Lance, HArmour, Shield, Barded Elven Steed, Radiant Gem of Hoeth, Pure of Heart Honour.
Total: 2000 pts
Tactic: Hammer/Anvil stuff. I'd place my infantry in one corner (where there is a hill normally), and my cav in the other. Use Eagles to prevent march, target all shooting at the heavy and fast enemy units, as well as the magic, while my cavalry plucks out small units which they can molest without fear of losing the CC.
So: shoot down fast light stuff with archers, hard heavy stuff with RBTs, block march moves with Eagles, and take out smaller units with the cavalry.
Still wondering if I should give PoH to one of the Mages instead, to minime the risk of losing it, contra the added Immune to Panic for the DP...
Please do comment, same as all my other lists =P . Any players opinion on this would be nice. You may see weaknesses that I dont. Do point them out, pretty please =) .
Yet another list, don't you ever stop writing them? =D
Anyways, I've noticed that it's again a more infantry based list are you sure that's wise? You know what happened to your last infantry army.
But I like the two spearmen units and archers, the main force (and full command for the spearmen =) ). With the SH's although I do like the banner of ellyrion, wouldn't the war banner be better? The DPs always a good choice, and good choice of banner. Also the eagles and RBTs also good.
I like the commander, vey powerful but slow. Just make sure he's well protetced because when he hits he'll hit hard. As for your mages I would have at least one dispel scroll (two's better), but it's up to you.
Other than that a nice well rounded army. You have all bases cover (magic, shooting and combat), and I like your tactics. Good luck, I hope it does well.
I dont think I can stop!
In most cases, my Commander gets to charge, due to 5" movement vs most armies move of 4". The cav are all wasted, due to shooting/magic, so I will be the manouverable one at that stage of the game.
My magic is very very very well, since I have Drain Magic for one of my mages, or maybe both, if I want to. I can even make them both choose Fortune if Fickle if I want to get him right out of the magic phase completely. With the D3 power dice ++ I think he can be drained.
I think the Ellyrion Banner would be great. I can charge through woods/difficult terrain! Big surprise!
More comments are welcome, of course, as stated in the original post =) .
Nice list Slai. Like you know, I have no clue about High Elves or Faantasy in general. but when I know it me hope I caan help you out more. But anyways, nice list, very infantry based.

I know, I've wrote tons of lists, but end up throwing loads away.
Which unit is the commander going in? Or on his own? I wouldn't suggest on his own simply because he's be taken down to easily. Ok I suppose your magic phase will be eventful, but I still think you could do with a couple of scrolls (just incase).
The banner will be a big surprise, hell you surprised be with it. But if you want them in combat, I would take your usual choice of the War Banner.
Commander goes with the 15 strong spearman regiment, since the spearmen need his support.
By the way, I tried this army list out, though I played it all wrong. I ended up takign on his Dark Elf 2000 pt army with mine, leaving the arhcers, spearmen and Commander too far form the action to see anything. Thus I took on 2000pts Dark Elves with roughly 1000 pts and made a Draw (with me ahead by like 50 pts) .
So I think when I get the hang of the army, it will do very well. Got nice magic, a bit few dispel dice, tho. I used Lore of Life with my non-High-Magic mage, and chose Lord of Stone and Lord of Woods. Got 14 S5 hits on his Mage, killing it in the last turn. Trust me, Lore of Life is the most damaging Lore ever.
About the banner oe ellasian, and charging through woods dont you neet line of sight? and you can only see through 2 inches of wood so maybe thats not the best idea.

Stick the SH so that 1 model sees, and you can charge through the woods. Also, stick the 2" from the edge of the wood. If someone charges you, you can run, leaving them stuck in the wood or just standing there looking at the purdy trees. If he doesnt charge you, you can charge him!
Trust me, that banner is a bargain!
Note: I changed the Commander to a offensive one, who will ride with DP. Filled up the 15 strong SpM reg to 16, removed both their Champions, since they were of no use, and added the Channeler Honour for the Mage without Silver Staff.
Changed the Mage with Silver Wand and Seer. He now has Seer and Jewel of the Dusk. The other mage has been stripped of his Seer ability and his Channeler ability and now uses the Annulian Crystal.
