Here is a list against those damn elves though more the WE than the others.This list made was made to counter the tactics placed in WD 286 for WE.
20 Warriors + Heavy + Shields.
+ full commmand
This unit will be in the center of the battle line and will house the lord. I decided not to give them GW since the lord would be with them and I will be fighting elves anyway (T3 ha,ha,ha.) and if they do get charged by a monster then the lord will sort that out.
Unit 1 of 20 Iron breakers + full command
+ rune of courage.
This unit will deployed on the left of my warriors and being immune to phsyco will be the best bait and trap for any unit trying flank charges. Also with a 3+ save for shooting and 2= save in CC they last longer than the longbeards also the S6 would be waste against elves, but I might be wrong.
Unit 2 of 20 Ironbreakers = full command
+ rune of Slowness
This unit will be deployed on the right of warrior unit and thus both falnks of warrior unit safe the whole battle line can use the lords Ld and the rune of slowness gives me an extra trick up my sleave and more time to nail any cav unit that tries to flank charge the unit.
20 Crossbowmen + shields
I took this unit for the range and the S, the cheapness and plus it would have probably been a waste to put thunderers here cause of their range and cost so I kept them out. Also 20 of them spread out in one big unit on a hill are the perfect cover for the CC units and the standard will help the CR if they get attacked by flyers, but I will maybe split it in to two groups of 10 each for simplicity.
1 Bolt thrower + rune of burning
For the treeman and any thing else woody that becomes a threat.
1 Bolt thrower + Flakksons rune of seeking
+ rune of burning
For any flying threats and if none will do the same job as the first one. My engineer will go in here.
1 Engineer + Pistol + Gromril
+ rune of stone
Goes with the BT above as mentioned to protect both crews and also using BS with a +1 to hit flyers means bye-bye polly.
1 Runesmith + Great + gromril + shield
+ M rune of balance
This one goes into the first unit of ironbreakers to help for any tough units and to stop the WE moving any of the forests around.
1 Runesmith + Great + Gromril + shield
+ 2x rune of Spellbreaking
Same as above though this one goes in the 2nd ironbreaker unit.
1 Lord + Gromril + Shield
+ rune of stone
+ rune of furnace (protection vs any dragons or nasty spells but will come off if unneeded)
+ M rune of spite
+ rune of fury
+ 2 x rune of cleaving
Will go in the warrior unit be immune to all but stongest attacks wound the elves on a 2+ and also will be able to step out of unit if needed.
I have 1883 pt so far any suggestions for the rest of the 117pts left?
you might want to take a cannon to target enemy calvary or chariots as those can be devastating on the charge <:> , but if your convident that your battle line can hold against that then take either a stone thrower with rune of accuracy(which has usally worked well for me ) or 10 slayers with nothing to hold a flank against anything(then agai you'l have to keep them out of sight of his archers so they won't get shot to peices , so maybe leave them out.

Elves T3 hahahaha, not really funny as even with T2 my elf cav could take apart this arm.
This is way too small for 2000 points, i doubt the pistol will get much chance to shoot against flyers so the engineer wont do much, by the way it isnt essential to fill up all character slots.
You need 3 core units in 2000 as well.
How this is anti WE tactics i dont know, it seems like it is designed to hand it to them.
You have no flank guard to the ironbreakers so their cav and dryads will have fun picking at flanks unchallanged. Dwarfs T4 and Ld 9 isnt so good when flank charged by glade riders and Dryads in the front which you will have no means to stop due to the waywatchers hiding in your deployment zone picking off warmachines (even with S3 elven accuracy will mean the crew wont last long)
Rune of slowness wont help much against 18"charge range.
Have a rethink and use your own tactics.
