hi all, (this is my new improved army list)
i will be playing a border patrol game on monday night against a friend who uses khemri!
anyway heres my attempt at a list:
Damsel = 95
10 archers = 60
6 realm = 168
10 errant = 180
any advice would be apreciated. thank you. btw i haven't played tomb kings before so don't realy know what to expect. i think he has 2 units of 10 archers and 20 tomb guard...and some character.
I cant see archers doing much to tomb kings because the few enemies you kill will just be brough back by tomb king magic.
I would drop the Grail knights and archers for a unit of 6 knights of the realm for a few reasons, if you loose just one grail knight to shooting they will not be very effective, Grail knights or Questing knights will not be in a border patrol because it isn't important enough, the task of guarding borders would be left to knights of the realm, a hero and squires.
i need ten infantry guys for border patrol
Make the skirmishers, so they can atleast do something good =) .
i have updated the list with a little help from a friend.
I think making the bowmen into skirmishers is a good idea, then you can use them to screen your damsel more effectively.
I think that using the lore of beasts would be best for the damsel. The Oxen Stands spell is the easiest spell to cast that they have access to, and it doesn't have a set range or require a line of sight, so she can just hide behind the bowmen and cast it where it's needed.
If you're feeling lucky you could give her the Chalice of Malfleur instead of a dispel scroll. It's a little cheaper, but since the Tomb Kings spells all work as bound spells, you won't get an outrageous To Cast score you need out outroll. An extra dispel dice could be as effective as a scroll, I think. Maybe.
If you cut down the knights errant unit to 9 models, you'll still get the rank bonus in a lance formation. If you're worried about his tomb guard unit outnumbering you, remember the Errant knight's immunity to psychology on the round they charge. And you'll probably inflict a few casualties that round anyway... just remember to get the charge!
