Hi, ive wanted to start Fantasy for awhile and was looking for help.
I dont want to be an elf(to fragile) and beasts of chaos didnt intrest me.
Also the ogres and Vamp Counts and Tomb Kings and Brettonians didn't intrest me.
Skaven were cool, but the high number of weak troops annoyed me
Im Looking For Strong Magic.
Good Magical Equipment.
Good Solid Troops who can dish out lots of damage.

I'd say take Lizardmen. Slann is quite one of the best Spellcasters and Saurus infantry ist dead'ard (and Skinks are somewhat protected by being skirmishers)
If you want strong magic but dont want elves, then I would agree that Lizardmen are one of the few choices you have.
Or magic heavy hordes of Chaos. Orcs also suit what you want except that its difficult to take 'strong' magic.
One thing you need to realise is that to take a dominant amount of magic, you will probably be left with no character slots for 'strong leaders'. Maybe 1..
In general you need to take one or the other. Magic in a defensive style army along with alot of shooting. Or strong close combat characters in an attacking style army.
Trying to take a mix of both of those factors tends to leave you lacking in both departments.

Whatever character setup you do go for, remember to take a BSB. This is why i like LM. Their strongest magic user can take the BSB(Y)

I agree that LM might be up your alley. Also consider VC as they have strong magic AND strong leaders, at least at 2000 pts when the vampires get involved.
Their core troops have lousy stats, but they are fear-causing and unbreakable. Their elite troops have better stats, excepting low WS. That's the general rule for undead...low WS, easy to hit, lots of armor saves to make. On the other hand, those elite troops--black knights and grave guard--have killing blow.
