    My 1k Skaven list =) . Has done good so far (2 games ^__^ ) vs Dark Elves and Brettonia.

    Looks good, i don't think much needs changing. A few night runners might be useful for going round flanks. They are cheaper than the gutter runners.See if you could afford a magic weapon for the chieftan. Skaven characters are not meant to be really killy but a sword of might would help.

    That one looks better, the 3 characters in 1000 was probably a bit unnecesary.
    Will one rat swarm hold much up though maybe the points would be better spent on a few more clan rats or gutter runners.

    1 Rat Swarm can treathen flankers (yeomen, driders) and if it charges something, my PWG can toss in their globes and the ratling gun can have some fun as well ^__^ . It mostly there because I just made one, and because I wanted to test it out.

    2 Globadiers will do absolutely nothing. They usually need 4's to hit atleast,and always 4's to wound,meaning you will get 1 casualty for every 4 globes thrown. My advice is to replace them with another jezzail team. Alternativly,and probably the better choice,would be to add 10 slave rats. Those will help immensly,as it will provide you with 2 excess ranks from which you can take casualties without effecting CR or LD,and will make sure you outnumber the opponent. Their an expendable unit,having them in squads less than your clan rats is both unwise and unfluffy(if you read the book,slaves are always in huge masses outnumbering the clan rat units by far).

    2 globadiers will do exactly 1 thing: be fun to play with.

    Also, I agree that slaves should be numerous, but Clanrats are what makes up an warclan, and slaves are just to boot. But, as they say: keep the cheap troops cheap.

    If the globadiers kill just 1 knight, they have paid for themselves, and I think thats fair.

    Skaven are without a doubt the most fun army to play with. They might destroy entire units with one spell, or they might just take out their own most important unit. It makes them different from other armies.
    Admir, basically your asking people to buy 2 boxes of slaves for every box of clanrats so it is fluff in your opinion?
    Anyway Clanrats are mainstay units, you don't have much of an army without them.

    Well,first,no,under no conditions should you spend over 60$ on slaves just to be fluffy. But a unit of 30 would be more effective in its job of swarming,annoying,or soaking up fire.

    The slaves are there as a throwaway unit, not to really DO anything but add to the annoying part of seeing another regiment on the board ^__^ . So I dont want them any bigger than I have to.
